Hamsza Restaurant is a unique and outstanding part of Debrecen’s gastronomic scene. It is not only the city’s first kosher restaurant, but currently the only kosher fine dining restaurant outside Budapest in Hungary. The modern, minimalist interior provides the perfect setting for creative interpretations of Middle Eastern cuisine, where every dish is carefully crafted with artistic attention to both flavor and presentation.
The kitchen is led by Chef Ahron Faigen, who studied at the prestigious Tadmor Culinary School in Israel, worked alongside celebrity chefs, ran his own restaurant, and later gained international experience as a private chef for business elites in Dubai. After returning to Israel, he brought his innovative and contemporary Middle Eastern culinary vision to Debrecen.
Hamsza offers a premium gastronomic experience not only for kosher-observant guests, but also for locals, tourists, and university students seeking unique culinary adventures. Located in the heart of Debrecen at Piac Street 5–7, the restaurant promises a memorable dining experience with its flavors and atmosphere.
