Concerts in Spring 2020

What better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring than through music. We recommend a walk in the forest to enjoy natures concert as birds get ready to nest.

However, we also recommend visiting the Kölcsey Centre, the goto venue for concerts in the city.

Some of the concerts below are organised as part of the Spring festival.

Spring family day with a concert of the band “Alma”

22 March, 10 AM  | Kölcsey Centre

The renowned Children’s Orchestra of the Minimax Children’s Channel brings a nearly 1-hour family concert to the town. Children and even parents can actively participate in the fun. The band has been performing with unrivalled success for 20 years, singing the most beautiful poems of classical and contemporary poets as well as performing children’s songs. 

Magashegyi Underground Szimfonik Concert

The band Magashegyi Underground has been a pioneer in the domestic pop music market for ten years, establishing a symphonic vocation – which has since been taken over and successfully followed by numerous domestic performers. Now the band is venturing into a new area: bringing the world of poetry to classical music.

Szilvia Péter Szabó | NOXTALGIA Unplugged concert

Szilvia Péter Szabó is a Hungarian pop singer and most well known as the singer of the Hungarian folk-pop band NOX. In the spring of 2020, Szilvia Péter Szabó is going to stage of Kölcsey Center in Debrecen with a NOXTALGIA Unplugged concert. The show will feature the well-known NOX classics, this time immersed in a special musical atmosphere to unleash an unforgettable concert experience in a magical world.

Honeybeast | Morning sunlight tour

March 25 • 7 PM, Kölcsey Centre – Price: HUF 4.900, HUF 5400 

In recent years, Honeybeast has put on stage performances on the country’s most important concert halls to show how pop music can add a new quality to classical or even contemporary dance.  During the “Symphony” and the “Let’s Dance! Tour” they played their songs together with classical musicians and with the help of the Szeged Contemporary Ballet.
Now, we can enjoy well-known songs of Honeybeast that is as uplifting and caressing as the morning sun.
