On 18 October, Debrecen’s creative workshops open their doors to the public, showcasing talented local artists who are shaping the creative energies of the city. With craft workshops, inspiring performances, workshops and concerts, the Night of Creative Spaces is waiting for everyone.

BEUGROOM
Location: Gambrinus köz
The Beugroom is the newest and youngest community space in the city center of Debrecen, where young people from secondary school fill the space with content together with the Debrecen City Student Council.
14:00 – 20:00: Fes#ess, Creative workshop to decorate and paint the corridor in front of BeugRoom
14:00 – 19:00: Threads of Change – creative workshop
Participants in the workshop will be able to make a unique hairband from leftover textiles, even from materials they consider scrap, and a fruit and vegetable pouch using old tablecloths and curtains, based on a pattern. The aim of the program is to demonstrate the creative recycling of leftover materials. Environmentally conscious crafts that contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle and a new way of thinking.
14.30 – 21.00: In the BeugRoom, the Debrecen Youth Municipality will introduce those interested to the world of dance, music, photography and filmmaking. Explore Debrecen’s newest youth community space, with youthful, colorful programs.
14.30 – 14.20, 15.00 – 15.30: Notre Dame Podium: a fun stage play about acting
EVANI STUDIO
Location: Batthyányi utca 14, in the courtyard
On 18 October, between 3 and 10 pm, you can work alternately with real leather, textiles and molinos in 30-minute stages. There will be a short changeover between each workshop where participants and tools will be exchanged.
Registration for the sessions is not required, you will be able to join on a first come, first served basis. Due to the capacity of the space (5 people), you can expect possible congestion and waiting. This is why the studio will be open for such a long period of time to accommodate everyone.
You can take your artwork home with you. Participation is free!
FIX DEBRECEN

The downtown maker space where creativity is only limited by imagination. At Fix Debrecen, you’ll find all the tools and workstations you need to move your business forward or even get your first pilot project off the ground. Come and check out our amazing machine park, where you’ll find metal, wood and light industrial technologies, as well as digital and IT tools!

Creative notebook making workshop: If you want to create something unique and lasting, this is the place for you! Make your own notebook, which you can take out at any time to draw or take notes. You’ll have the chance to choose from a variety of fairy tale characters, motifs, boyish and girlish decorations to decorate the cover. You can work with pastels, markers and even glitter tempera, only your imagination is the limit! We also care about the environment, so our covers are made from recycled materials.
BICYCLE MUSEUM DEBRECEN

15.00 and 17.00: Guided tours with Attila Katona – bicycles from the 1800s to today. How does a 100-year-old bicycle turn up? How to restore bicycles, what is the process before a bicycle is ready for display?
SUFNI 2 ART HOUSE

15.00 – 21.00: Ceramic painting workshop
At the workshop you will be given a brief introduction to the process of making twice fired ceramics, followed by a workshop to paint once fired ceramics, chopsticks and brush holders (2 pieces in total). After a few minutes of drying, it’s ready to take home!
The workshop will be held in 30-minute shifts and is completely free! Discover your creativity!
