Where better to endure the hottest days of summer than on the water? Hungary’s most modern outdoor aquapark, Aquaticum Strand is not only a great way to beat the heat, but also a great place to get super wet, all under the vast shade canopies of the Great Forest. The Aquaticum Strand, which has won numerous international awards, offers 5,700 square meters of water, 15 different pools, a 12-metre-high sun deck, giant slides, diving platforms and many more water attractions and activities.
At the aquapark, guests can enjoy a Hawaiian-themed program on the weekend of 13-14 July, where they can make their own Aloha headdress between two splashes, enjoy a Tiki Zumba Party and indulge in a weekend-long Hawaiian atmosphere. On Saturday evening, the 13th, the first foam party of the season will provide the party atmosphere, with DJ Németi and DJ Gabesz spinning the best tunes. On Wednesday, July 17, Friday, July 26 and Wednesday, July 31, children are invited to Muri and Buli party, with animated programs, while on the weekend of 20-21 July the aquapark will be transformed into a circus with stilt walkers, jugglers and acrobats.
On the weekend of 27-28 July, Aquaticum Strand will be a pirate’s paradise with animated family activities, and on Saturday evening 27 July, the Night of the Beaches will be back with extended opening hours and live DJ music throughout the evening.
For those who want to enjoy the water in a more intimate setting, there is another public bath in Debrecen, the Kerekestelepi Strandfürdő, a five-minute drive from the city center. Located in one of the quiet suburban areas of the city, it offers thermal pools and a wooded, green environment.
