Hamburgers, steaks, barbecue, concerts, craft beers, demonstrations, performances, a national competition for the title of the country’s burger, and a steakhouse competition under the shady trees of the Great Forest Park! On 7 September Debrecen will once again be the burger capital of the country for one day.
For the fourth time, Szaft ‘N Burger will fill the square around Lake Békás in the Great Forest Park, where one day will be all about burgers. The event will include a professional individual competition, individual amateur, freestyle and junior categories, as well as a team competition where families, groups of friends and corporate teams can test their cooking skills in the steak category as well as the burger category.
The professional competition is also a battle for big cash prizes, valuable gifts and of course the winner’s trophy.
As well as the burger and steak cook-off, the event will feature professional burger and grill tutorials, live music, delicious home brews and, of course, burgers and barbecue.

The jury will be chaired by Jani Jancsa, gastroblogger, culinary director of Bamba Beef Burger Bar and author of The Big Burger Book.
Admission to the event is free to the public.
