Halloween Themed Activities

Halloween, one of the most popular celebrations of autumn, is a tradition in Anglo-Saxon culture, but is now celebrated in many parts of the world. It’s no different in Hungary, where young and old alike dress up in scary costumes to play tricks on each other and, according to tradition, ward off the returning ghosts of the dead.

In Debrecen, there are Halloween programs in several locations around the city. We have put together a selection for you to enjoy these scary nights with fun.

Halloween Street Festival – 25 October (Friday) 17:00

Due to its great success, this year there will be another Halloween Street Festival in Batthyány Street! Debrecen’s first pedestrian street will be dressed up in Halloween descorations for the occasion, with shops and restaurants offering treats and games for children and young people in costume.
