Urban Hotel opened in 2024 in the very heart of downtown Debrecen, in a building with a history of more than one hundred years. According to archival documents, the building already existed in 1908. In its early years, shops operated on the ground floor, while civic apartments were created on the upper floor.
During the renovation, special attention was paid to preserving the building’s values and restoring it in line with its original character — something guests can experience first-hand. Each of the hotel’s 20 rooms has a unique design, created by renowned Hungarian designers and architects, with authentic elements of Hungarian art carefully incorporated into the interiors.
The Urban Café is located on the ground floor of the building and operates as an all-day downtown café. A buffet breakfast is served here every morning, available not only to hotel guests but also to residents of the city.
