Salt, flour, water, sourdough. That’s all you need for traditional Hungarian bread. If you are interested in the mystery of traditional bread baking, you may want to test your skills in the home baking competition, or simply love delicious pastries, its place is there on Saturday, July 31st, in the Nagyerdei Park at the Bread Soul Festival.
This one-day gastronomic festival focuses on bread and bread making. The program will include a baker’s market with renowned Budapest and local bakeries, a baking workshop, a sourdough bread competition, as well as stage concerts, beer, wine and brandy, a good atmosphere from a real festival – all in the middle of the magical Great Forest.
You can enter the home bakers’ competition with white or semi-brown sourdough bread under the registration menu of www.kenyerlelke.hu.
The Bread Soul Festival can be visited free of charge with a vaccination card on Saturday, July 31st, from 10 A.M. at Lake Békás in Debrecen.
