The Csokonai Theater opened its doors in autumn 2023 after years of modernisation. The renovation of the almost 160-year-old building has created more exciting spaces, not less, as the reconstruction has retained the original functions while also bringing them into line with today’s requirements.
The open and closed spaces of the completely renovated theater are the subject of a special tour of the theater.
Are there really huge mirrors in the dressing rooms? Is there a spiral staircase leading to the top and bottom floors of the building? What is behind the scenes? How does the revolving stage work? What is hidden in the walls of the set storage room? These questions can be answered by those who sign up for guided tours.
