The spa culture in Debrecen has a history of almost two hundred years. In the late 1820s, a bathhouse was already in operation in the middle of the Great Forest, which is voted Hungary’s most beautiful forest. One of the most popular parts of the Aquaticum spa complex is the thermal baths, based on mineral-rich, therapeutic thermal water. Open all year round, the domed pool hall of the thermal baths has three thermal pools of different temperatures and a swimming pool, all inspired by the four basic elements of fire, water, earth, and air. The indoor and outdoor pools, equipped with steam showers and mushroom showers, contribute to the overall wellness experience with thermal water “massages”. In addition to the thermal water pools and experience elements, the soothing interior and the fabulous surroundings and fresh air of the Great Forest ensure that time spent in the thermal baths is a real relaxing experience.
The other units of the Aquaticum SPA can be accessed directly from the Thermal Baths. Each unit can be visited separately or in combination.
