2024 promises to be an exciting year in Debrecen, as world stars such as José Cura and Modern Talking will come to perform in the city. Among the Hungarian musicians and bands, Punnany Massif, Kowalsky meg a Vega, NOX, Péter Geszti and Eszter Váczi are already confirmed as next year’s performers.
KOWALSKY MEG A VEGA CONCERT

The Kowalsky and Vega band traditionally starts each year at one of Hungary’s major concert venues. This time they will open the year 2024 with two big concerts! To the great delight of their fans, they will be opening their tour in the eastern and western parts of the country.
For next year’s concert season, they are preparing a brand-new show with a number of surprises. In addition to the songs from their new album, which was released in October 2023, they will of course also be performing their greatest hits. A crowd favorite for their deep lyrics and catchy melodies, the band always creates a special atmosphere at their concerts.

PUNNANY AKUSZTIK 2.0

While a pop music concert mostly satisfies the public taste and is concerned with carrying the atmosphere in its waves, Punnany Akusztik 2.0 dives into the deep end. It shows how it can be done without being dominated by the elements of the show. The character of the instruments is revealed, the unexpected happens. We draw outlines along the lines of what we find tasteful. The way we put the show together is also in many places to flow with what feels like flow, leaving the songs free. MIKE OLDFIELD’S – TUBULAR BELLS TOUR

The Főnix Arena in Debrecen will host a special concert at the end of February. The performance of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells – Live in Concert will be staged as part of a world tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic music.
Mike Oldfield’s masterpiece will be performed by a group of nine great musicians. The material for the two-part concert has been compiled by The Artist, who is this time acting as musical director, arranger, and producer. Mike Oldfield himself will not be touring the world but will be joined by a guitarist of his choice. But it’s not the guitarist who is the main attraction of this concert and this wonderful music. He is just one of nine musicians. It is the epoch-making work that launched and “made great” the Artist. He laid the foundations of a new genre, but at the same time preserved his totally unique sound. The conductor for the performance is Oldfield’s close collaborator and collaborator, the renowned Robin Smith, known from many other productions.
The evening will be opened by a guest performance by Peter Müller Sziámi AndFriends.

VABADABA: A NIGHT WITH PÉTER GESZTI FEATURING ESZTER VÁCZI

Vabadaba is a feeling. More precisely, it is many different feelings. 22 shades of love, now expressed in 22 songs. Péter Geszti and his former Jazz+Az partner Eszter Váczi embark on a new musical adventure, to speak about the wonders and vicissitudes of love in a sometimes sentimental, sometimes ironic way. Lovers, lovers, lonely, married, newcomers, everyone gets their share of songs. The title of the evening is reminiscent of one of the world hits of the 1970s, and for good reason! Several iconic vintage songs of the era will be performed, with modern instrumentation and new Hungarian lyrics. In addition to these, many well-known Geszti songs will be revived in duets with Eszter Váczi, offering many pleasant surprises for those who love to love and laugh with all their heart.
