Debrecen’s first pedestrian street, Batthyány utca will be the home of a new initiative, the International Street Festival, on 28 June 2024. The free event will give visitors a taste of the cultures of different nations present in the city.
The Creative Community of Debrecen, a group of businesses and NGOs on Batthyány Street, has proven on several occasions in recent years that with the help of civil society they can fill Debrecen’s first pedestrian street with fantastic events. They organized the popular Halloween Street Festival, the Batthyány Fair and Children’s Flea Market, and the International Rhyme Festival. This time, you can get a closer look at the cultures of the different nations present in Debrecen at their event on 28 June, which will feature

- drinks,
- dances,
- music,
- children’s activities and
- sports from many countries around the world!
Within the framework of the street festival, the “OTT-HOME. International Meeting Point” will be officially opened, where international and Hungarian culture will meet.
