The Vojtina Puppet Theater believes that puppetry is not an age group, but rather a genre. That is why they create magical performances not only for children, but also for adults. The Dragon King performance will be available on several dates in November.

Sisi’s Secrets

The luxurious world of the Habsburg dynasty, the hidden secrets of the imperial court, and the unforgettable melodies of musicals associated with the era are coming to Debrecen for a magical evening!
The hostess of KaposMusical’s special production is Kata Janza, the eternal Elisabeth, who will be joined on stage by two iconic figures of musical theater, Attila Dolhai and György Szomor. The concert is a real journey through time: an aristocratic atmosphere, period melodies and the most beautiful gems of musical literature are accompanied by an orchestra, while we gain insight into the secrets of Sisi’s legendary life. Are you ready for science? Free Family Day

Kölcsey Center

Come to the Kölcsey Center on Sunday, November 9, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and immerse yourself in the magical world of science!
At the free family day organized jointly by the Agora Science Experience Center and Főnix Rendezvényszervező Nonprofit Kft., children and adults can discover the exciting secrets of the natural sciences in a playful way.

Participants in the program include the institutes and faculties of the University of Debrecen, ATOMKI, Emerson|NI, Mozdulj Debrecen!, Nagyerdei Kultúrpark, and Természettár.
Interactive tools, spectacular experiments, demonstrations, and real scientific adventures await you—for all ages!

From 1 p.m., Kíváncsi Katica and her fairy tale orchestra will provide a cheerful finale with their concert.

Magda Szabó: That Beautiful, Bright Day

Csokonai Theater

The title of Magda Szabó’s historical drama is the first line of a pagan song, which recurs as a motif throughout the work. The story takes place in Esztergom Castle on the day before István Vajk’s baptism and tells of the struggle for survival and the sacrifices made for it… The young members of the Csokonai Theater company, directed by Ákos Kukovecz, a recent graduate of the University of Theater and Film Arts, present the drama in an alternative space.

Harry Potter music by candlelight
November 24, 2025, 7:00 p.m.
Kölcsey Center, Grand Hall

The magical world comes to life for one night!
The most iconic melodies and songs from the Harry Potter films will be performed at an unforgettable candlelit concert.

This unique piano recital will feature the legendary film scores of five-time Oscar winner John Williams, as well as works by Patrick Doyle, Nicolas Hooper, and Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat, offering fans the best of Harry Potter music.

However, the concert is not only a treat for the ears, but also for the eyes: hundreds of candles fill the hall, creating an atmosphere full of mystery, magic and mystery.
The glowing lights transform the space into a fairy-tale world, where every melody and every candle flame transports you back to the magical world of Hogwarts for a moment.
