The Royal Opera House opera and ballet programme is to continue at the Apollo cinema! In the new season, the Apollo Cinema brings Debrecen 12 live performances directly from London!

THE BARBER OF SEVILLE

Heart-warming serenades, ridiculous costumes and futile waits for a happy ending. Gioachino Rossini’s comic opera is hilariously entertaining from the barber Figaro’s entrance “Largo al factotum”, which ends with the exclamation “Figaro!”; to Rosina’s hilarious cavatina “Una voce poco fa”!

TURANDOT

Puccini’s score is a musical treat in itself (e.g. Kalaf’s aria ‘Nessun dorma’). But in Andrei Şerban’s staging, which draws on Chinese theatre traditions, even the colourful, fanciful tabloid of 19th-century Beijing comes to life.
