For those who purchased tickets for the Campus Festival 2020, which was cancelled last year, 60 percent of ticket holders “rolled over” their tickets. When the festival gets the final go ahead, it can only be attended by those with a vaccination certificate.
The organizers are preparing to hold the Campus Festival on July 21st-25th. Last year, due to the pandemic situation, the Campus was canceled, tickets and passes could either be exchanged or “carried over” to the following year.
Péter Miklósvölgyi, the managing director of Debreceni Campus Kft., The main organizer of the festival, recently told Debrecen Television that this year there will be little or no foreign performers due to entry difficulties, but at the same time he promised that the entire Hungarian spectrum of performers will perform at Campus.
In addition, he added something new “I also want to expand the festival; although it has been day zero so far, this year is expected to be a full day”.
The government has not yet decided on the conditions and number of vaccines that will be able to hold mass events and festivals, but Gergely Gulyás, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said last week that vaccination certificates will definitely be needed until August. Concerts, festivals, nightclubs, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs will clearly be regulated, and a vaccination certificate will be essential in these places.
What this means is that if the Campus festival gets the go ahead, the festival can be attended with a proof of vaccination certificate.
