The new Wizz Air flight from Debrecen to Rome, the capital of Italy, has been launched. From 13 December 2023, the flight will operate twice a week – on Wednesdays and Fridays – between the two cities.
Rome is one of Europe’s most visited destinations, with ruins from antiquity that will take any traveller back in time. The city is one of the most fabulous destinations not only for its history, but also for its culture, art, gastronomy and architecture: it is without doubt the place everyone must see at some point, being called the Eternal City for a reason.
“Rome is a long-awaited destination for many people and will be added to the Wizz Air Debrecen offer from December, so it is a special pleasure for us to announce this new flight today. At the beginning of the year we set a target of 250,000 passengers by 2023, to which I believe the previously announced flights to Hurghada and Rome will contribute greatly” – said Tamás Király, CEO of Debrecen International Airport Kft.
Wizz Air is constantly striving to expand its route network, as evidenced by the launch of a new direct flight connecting Debrecen with Italy. The Rome route offers new opportunities and adventures to all travellers, not only for the people of Debrecen to travel directly to Rome, but also for Italians to discover the eastern part of Hungary thanks to the direct flight.
