Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing and most sustainable airline, will launch a direct service from Debrecen to Istanbul, the cultural and economic hub of Turkey, from 14 April 2024. Tickets for the new flights are available on the Wizz Air website and via the airline’s mobile app from 13,490 HUF.

“In recent years, our surveys have shown that Istanbul, like Rome, has also achieved excellent results, so we are particularly pleased to announce two of the top three destinations recommended by passengers in a short time. These events confirm that Wizz Air, as well as the airport operator, cares about the opinion of our passengers and we are indeed striving to implement flight developments in line with the demand,” said Tamás Vincze, Development Director of Debrecen International Airport Kft.
Besides Antalya, Istanbul is the second Turkish city that will soon be directly accessible by air from Debrecen. Thanks to the expansion of Wizz Air, four routes from Hungary to Turkey can now be booked.
