Perhaps the world’s biggest folk festival, Oktoberfest, is moving to Debrecen for three days. With a tradition of more than 200 years, the little brother of the popular Bavarian celebration in Debrecen will be all about quality Bavarian beers and delicious Bavarian specialities, accompanied by fun music and traditional games, set on the square in front of the University of Debrecen.
What is Oktoberfest?
Oktoberfest is perhaps the world’s largest folk festival with a tradition going back over 200 years. It was born in the heart of Bavaria and is now known worldwide. It is a celebration of friendship, togetherness and fun.

What is waiting for you at the venue?
A giant beer tent on Egyetem tér, 20 taps with the finest beers, traditional Bavarian games led by a hops master every day, concerts with a big stage and fun until midnight at the Debrecen Oktoberfest.
