Program of the Debrecen Flower Carnival

Between 15 and 20 August, the city will be in bloom and there will be countless events at the Debrecen Flower Carnival.

For nearly sixty years, Debrecen has been hosting Hungary’s biggest birthday party, the Debrecen Flower Carnival, which is a must-see for everyone. From 15 to 20 August, almost the entire city will be in bloom and there will be a host of programs in countless venues. There will be free concerts by Irie Maffia, the Bohemian Betyars, Magna Cum Laude and the Bagossy Brothers in the main square, a botanical and craft fair, a night-time bike parade, public dance performances, exhibitions, a beer garden and light painting. For the younger ones, the Galiba Children’s Festival will provide several days of entertainment in the amusement park.

Carnival music tram runs during the Flower Carnival week.

From 16 to 20 August, the decorated Carnival Music Tram will once again be running on Line 1.

From 16 to 20 August, you can once again travel on the decorated Carnival music tram on Line 1. From 17 to 20 August, there will be activities for young and old on this special service in the afternoons. Look out for tram number 516!

Wine, jazz, Great Forest

Cellar-cold wines, soft jazz tunes and Hungary’s most beautiful forest meet at the Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days between 8 and 11 August.

The Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days is Hungary’s oldest jazz festival, held every year since 1972 except 2020. This year, between 8 and 11 August, wine lovers and jazz enthusiasts are welcome to the Great Forest, where the festival is surrounded by green nature on the shores of Lake Békás during the day, while at night the view is dominated by a magical forest of lights and an enchanting water mirror.

Favoritele publicului autohton, vedete internaționale, vară, petrecere, Nagyerdő… Cea mai mare petrecere a verii, Festivalul Campus, va începe în curând!

Festivalul Campus, unul dintre cele mai mari evenimente culturale și de muzică ușoară din Ungaria, care există de mai bine de un deceniu și jumătate, va începe pe 24 iulie în locația cunoscută, în jurul Stadionului Nagyerdei. De data aceasta, pe scena festivalului vor urca cei mai populari interpreți maghiari, de la Azahriah la Majka, de la Insula Margareta la Tankcsapda, dar vor fi prezentate și tinere talente emergente, urmând să sosească și multe vedete internaționale, printre care și Dimitri. Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Solveig, Mando Diao, Danko Jones, Gayle, Queen Omega și Rita Ora.
