Debrecen’s oldest movie theater, the more than 110-year-old Apolló Cinema, regularly hosts themed screenings, film festivals, and pre-premiere showings throughout the year. This year, the 10th Hungarian Film Harvest was held at the Apolló, where visitors can enjoy the best of Hungarian filmmaking and then discuss the works with the directors. Italian, German, and other film festivals from different cultures also find a home at Apolló. In addition to mainstream films, its program also includes numerous art films and domestic productions, all at very affordable prices.
