On April 5, 2025, one of Debrecen’s most unique entertainment and hospitality venues, Csinibaba Kultkert, opened on the site of the former Leveles Csárda in the heart of Nagyerdő. Colorful lanterns, tables and standing counters of various sizes, outdoor and indoor bar counters, and huge Pilsner Urquell tanks immediately catch the eye of visitors. The interior is not very large, but it is cozy, with Bauhaus pictures on the walls and a TV showing the game above the entrance.
The place clearly appeals to all generations, and this is no coincidence, as owner Tamás Fejes did not want to create a traditional ruin pub atmosphere, but rather a more relaxed, “chilled” garden beer garden.
The main attraction here is definitely Pilsner Urquell beer, which is considered a specialty, as Debrecen’s Csinibaba is the first place in the countryside where you can get this beer. This special beer comes directly from the Czech Republic and is made using an unpasteurized process, so it contains no preservatives. In addition, you can choose from a selection of street food and homemade dishes.
