This settlement is also located between Hortobágy and Hajdúság and it was named after the reeds (nád) and the courtyards (udvar) fenced with them in the floodplains. However, it is better known today for its black ceramics. The centuries-old tradition of making black pottery with a unique firing technique is still preserved and cultivated here by several families, whose craftsmanship and handicrafts can be observed in special workshops. Nádudvar also has a thermal spa and pools with officially certified thermal water.
