Agóra Science Experience Centre Reopens

After the winter break, the Agora Science Experience Centre will reopen on 5th January with a variety of science education programmes. During the first month of the year, weekend activities will include origami animal folding, musical instrument making, snake species, the secrets of winter bird feeding, and the golden rules of bird watching.

The Agora Science Centre’s January programmes:

Permanent programmes

In the Agora Science Experience Centre’s Interactive Space, you can try out almost 40 special games closely linked to a scientific phenomenon. In addition, visitors can take part in several experimental demonstrations every day. Detailed daily programmes are available at www.agoradebrecen.hu.

Musical lightning

Have you ever seen lightning in a room? Have you listened? Agora’s Frankenstein-esque device can make thunderous sounds come from the swirling of arc discharges. What’s more, the Tesla coil can also emit musical sounds using a piano keyboard. So anyone can try their hand at making music with lightning!
