Christmas for Animals at Zoo Debrecen

The Christmas of the Animals, one of the most beautiful traditions of the Debrecen Zoo, held on 27th December between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., will be a special event for the 900 individuals of the 200 species living in the Zoo and the enthusiastic zoo lovers who support them.

At the year’s final event, the Park will thank all adopters for their support in contributing to the well-being of the zoo’s residents and enriching their environment with free admission. At the foster parents’ meeting on the Samburu panoramic terrace, staff will tell them about all the improvements to the enclosures and changes to the animals’ lives that would not have been possible without their help over the past year.

There will be a full day of festive Animals in Action, but animal keepers will also be on hand to talk about their work in four venues, and creative visitors can get creative in the Santa Claus House craft corner.

The programmes are free with a zoo pass.
