Preschool and school groups are welcome to an interactive guided tour of the world of birds and trees.
Since 1906, on the initiative of Otto Herman, every year on 10th of May, we celebrate Birds and Trees Day, which aims to raise awareness of the community – originally mainly the youth – about these extremely valuable representatives of the living world and the importance of their protection.
For the first time ever, Debrecen Zoo is celebrating this green holiday with a whole week of thematic activities for children’s groups and families interested in the revival of nature from the 8th to the 14th of May.
On weekdays, the Debrecen Zoo will welcome pre-registered groups of preschool children and schoolchildren for a guided interactive tour of the world of birds and trees.
On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can become ornithologists in action and take part in research into the behaviour of exotic feathered creatures and further their knowledge of them in the Knowledge Centre with interactive activities.
All programmes are free of charge with admission.
