Debrecen offers unique experiences not only on the ground – viewed from above, the city reveals a whole new side to itself.
Visit one of Debrecen’s iconic buildings, the Reformed Great Church, and admire the city from the panoramic bridge between its two towers. Did you know that Debrecen lies in a natural depression surrounded by forests and flat landscapes? Interestingly, the elevation of the nearby Látóképi Csárda restaurant is the same as the height of the spire of the Great Church in Debrecen. In addition to the Great Church, there are several other points in the city center that offer stunning views of the surrounding area, such as the tower of the Reformed Small Church, from which you can see things that you would not notice while walking on the sidewalk.

The Kölcsey Center is not only a worthy home to numerous cultural programs and professional events, but thanks to its roof terrace, we can also gaze into the distance, allowing us to see the historic city center from a new perspective.
Leaving the city center behind, we find another high point in the beautiful Nagyerdő forest, from where we can admire the wonderful nature. The oak forest, dotted with flowers, is not only important for forestry and nature conservation, but also serves as a recreational area. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and recharge your batteries on the shores of Lake Békás, listening to the sounds of nature! After a pleasant walk or a relaxing thermal bath, climb up to the Nagyerdő Water Tower and take in the view from above!
