Last year, Wizz Air operated three classic holiday flights from Debrecen to Mallorca, Cyprus, and the island of Santorini in Greece. The flights operated until October 2021. Since November 2021, they have been available to book on Wizz Air’s 2022 schedule, however, there has been a modification.
Wizz Air planned to resume all three flights in June 2022, but the resumption of the Cyprus flight started a month earlier than planned. The first flight will operate on the 28th of March, and there will be two flights a week, Monday and Friday, until the end of October.
In Cyprus, there is very little rain in the summer, and it is very warm, which is why the island shows its most beautiful face in the spring.
From Debrecen, Wizz Air flights are currently flying to London, Eindhoven, Brussels, and Moscow. Turkey will be featured by three tour operators this year, and it has also been decided that travelers can fly to the island of Zakynthos in Greece again in 2022. The flight to Hurghada, Egypt, will return. Debrecen International Airport is in advanced negotiations with a Bulgarian tour operator for a charter to Burgas, Black Sea, while Rhodes, another Greek island, may be offered by a Hungarian tour operator soon.
In addition to Wizz Air, Lufthansa is planning to relaunch its Debrecen-Munich flight in early May.
