In her photographs, media artist Lilla Váczi mostly depicts the tension between impermanence and transience. The experience of confinement caused by the coronavirus epidemic has heightened the sense of alienation and loneliness in her work. He documents a life situation in which our social relationships have been reduced, our daily routine reduced to a few basic functions. Our home became a workplace, our bedroom a study, and the wearing of masks and rubber gloves became natural.
Lilla Váczi, representing Debrecen, started her series Isolation in 2021 for the international art project Europe at Home, which dealt with the isolation caused by the pandemic.
Her series now on view gives us an experiential insight into her personal life during the pandemic.
