Once again, there will be light art displays all over the city.
The Debrecen-based Lighthouse group joins the carnival
week with a special visual experience. A specially programmed
light show on a pyramid erected over the foundations of the former
Verestorony next to the Great Church will create a unique atmosphere
on Kossuth Square.
Péter Koros’ “Lilies” installations will move
to the water surface of Lake Békás, floating on the surface of
the water during the day and coming to life in different lights
after dark. The lilies symbolize joy and new life, purity and
the cycle of nature and rebirth.
From 18th August, Dósa Nádor
Square will also be bathed in light: every day from 9:00 p.m.,
the LaLuz team, a returning guest of the carnival’s light art
programme, will be painting a colourful light show.
On 20th August,
at 10:00 p.m., a spectacular light show will close the day of
our public holiday.
