Kicking off the summer series of free outdoor music events entitled “Quiet Thursdays, with acoustic sets taking place in the Water Tower Garden. Start the weekend early and unwind on Thursdays.

Authentic American blues-rock meets the bittersweetness of the domestic altar in the songs of The Pontiac.
Moving from blues basics to melodic rock, The Pontiac started in 2017. That year, they released their first EP, Morning Rain, followed two years later by the full-length Are You Ready Now? In autumn 2019, they released a music video Tyler, inspired by their summer experiences, and in December they reimagined the Bob Dylan-Jimi Hendrix classic – All Along The Watchtower.
In the summer of 2020 – due to the pandemic – they released a 4-song unaired recording, including three never-before-heard songs in English. In October 2020, they debuted their first Hungarian-language song, Nur Egyetlen Lámpa Ég, which has a sweet-sweet home-grown flavour, but the overall picture still reflects the band’s unique “punky” feel. The song was followed in December by a two-song single, Wind/Lebegés. In April 2021, they released their song It Would Only Be Nice, which was a breakthrough of sorts. The song entered the national charts of Petőfi Radio and the music video for the song exceeded 100,000 views.
The band released three more singles – Éjszaka, Egy napra, Hagylak – and on 28th October their first Hungarian-language album, Jöhet velünk bárki, debuted. The album was presented live at Instant.
