Sting comes to play at the Főnix Arena

It’s big news for fans of the world-famous English musician, Sting that the 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist will play two concerts in Hungary next year as part of his My Songs tour. He will perform the most popular songs of his career in Budapest on 16th March 2022 and in Debrecen on 17th March 2022. The venue for the Debrecen concert is the recently renovated Főnix Arena.

The Sting “My Songs” concert is a dynamic show featuring the most popular songs of the 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s career, whether they be Police or solo hits. Described as a “masterful production” from start to finish, the concert “takes fans on a musical journey through time” with songs such as Fields of Gold, Shape Of My Heart, Roxanne, and Demolition Man in “unforgettable performances.” Fans can also hear Englishman In New York, Every Breath You Take, and Message In A Bottle, among many others.

Sting’s latest album, The Bridge, will be released on 19th November, showcasing his prolific and diverse songwriting talents. Written and recorded in the year of the pandemic, this new material was born out of reflection on personal loss, isolation, confusion, confinement, and extreme social and political upheaval. The diverse album, which reflects the different phases and styles of his unparalleled career, draws inspiration from genres such as rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, classical music, and folk, while also incorporating Sting’s essential sound, for example with songs like the opener Rushing Water or the new indie-pop sound of If It’s Love.
