From 17th to 20th August, the Böszörményi út Campus of the University of Debrecen will host the annual Farmer Expo – International Agricultural and Food Trade Fair on its 30th anniversary, and from the 16th is Hortico Fruit and Gardening Trade Fair.
This year, 329 exhibitors will be presented on 16,000 square meters. Minister of Agriculture István Nagy will take part in the opening, and the “Consecration of the new bread” fits into the must not be missed event.
Through the initiative of the Hungarian National Rural Network, the fairground will be transformed into a large village courtyard, where schoolchildren can learn about farm animals, experience the daily tasks related to keeping them, and become acquainted with the operation of agricultural machinery. In addition to the renewal of the animal showroom, farm animal species including rabbits, sheep, goats, horses, poultry, cattle can be seen.
