Zoo Debrecen celebrates wildlife for three days

March 3 marks World Wildlife Day, the number one global conservation observance intended to raise awareness of the great richness and value of wildlife on Earth as well as the current plight it faces and the urgent need for conservation efforts. Turning 50 this year, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) was signed on March 3, 1973 – a date that was proclaimed a new addition to the global conservation calendar by the UN General Assembly in 2013.
