Debrecen will once again host one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, the World Junior Figure Skating and Ice Dancing Championships 2025, from 25 February to 1 March, at the impressive Főnix Arena. This will be the second time that Debrecen has hosted this special event – the last time was in 2016, when the young talents wowed the audience with their performance on ice.
The ISU World Figure Skating and Ice Dancing Junior Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union, where figure skaters within a specific age group compete for the title of World Junior Champion.
This event is one of four annual ISU Figure Skating Championships and the most prestigious for juniors. Medals are awarded in men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs figure skating and ice dancing during the event. During the competition, each category will present two skating events, a short program or rhythmic dance and a round dance.
