The first section of the light rail was opened on July 16, 1882. In celebration of this historical day families will be welcomed with colorful programs on Saturday, 17th July.
Zsuzsi’ birthday is typically celebrated with programs that relive moments and values of the past. This will reflected in nature-cultural programs, and visitors will also be able to taste a special cake.
During the summer a local history tour is planned, to-be organized every weekend, – however this is just one of the many programs related to the soon-to-be 139-year-old Zsuzsi train.
Recently The Zsuzsi Forest Railway also joined the campaign to promote the natural and cultural values of the country: the small train was enriched with a Kajla car, a children’s cultural educational character in the form of a small dog.
The ever popular Zsuzsi Forest Railway is a firm favorite of children of all ages, and so makes a great family day out among the nature of Erdőspuszta.
