Next month, visitors to the Debrecen Zoo and Botanical Garden will be able to admire the flowers of the mines, alongside 200 species of animals and around 650 species of plants from five continents, in an exhibition entitled “The World of Minerals, the Poetry of the Earth”.
For the 13th time, the institution hosts the mineral exhibition organised in cooperation with the Pál Szőnyi Mineral Friendship Circle. The event introduces the public not only to the eye-catching natural treasures of our country, but also to rare specimens from all over the world. Around 10 containers will be filled with the jewels of our planet, including many unique minerals and fossil specimens on display for the first time.
The exhibition in the Exotic Africa Building is open every day from 1st August to 31st August from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
The exhibition, which is free with a zoo pass, is accompanied by a free guided tour and a mineral fair.
