This year, the Debrecen Spring Art Exhibition will be held for the 31st time at the Bényi Gallery of the Kölcsey Centre.
The exhibition will be open between the 1st and the 21st of April 2022, during the opening hours of the Kölcsey Centre, daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Debrecen Spring Art Exhibition is a forum for local and expatriate artists who professionally cultivate fine arts, photography, and applied arts. Painting and graphics/photography alternate every two years, while sculpture is presented every year.
This time, the three-week exhibition will showcase photographic and graphic works from the last two years.
The exhibition received 167 entries from 72 artists, of which 86 works by 56 artists were recommended by a jury of experts. 8 artists were selected for prizes. The entries include works using classical graphic techniques, autonomous photographs, prints made using electrographic/computer graphics, artist’s books, and experimental processes.
The 31st Spring Art Exhibition is sponsored by the National Association of Hungarian Artists.
The exhibition is organised by István Subicz, a graphic artist, and Andrea Szalai, gallery director.
