The 2022/2023 season of the Vojtina Puppet Theatre begins!

On Sunday, August 28th, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. a.m. to 1:00 a.m. p.m., the new season begins in the Memorial Garden behind the Great Church! On this day, there will be themed islands, games, surprises, many familiar puppet faces, and many new ones, making the last Sunday of August an unforgettable day.

The Memorial Garden

This Sunday (28th) at 10:00 a.m. the story of “The Clever Girl”, will be performed by the Ladafia Puppet Theatre. Advance tickets for the event are available from 15th August at the box office.

Islands of the gateway:

  • Baby Island – the realm of the little ones
  • Parents’ Island – where tired but play-loving parents can relax
  • Creative Island – an island of boundless imagination
  • Island of movement – where you can move your body
  • Story Island – where we move the soul
  • Dexterous Island – where there’s still energy left
  • Interactive Island – an island of free and shared play
  • Music Island – the realm of music

Entrance to the event is free for children under 1-year-old, over 1-year-old 1500 HUF /person, there is a discounted ticket price for families of three or more:- 1200 HUF /person. You can get an additional discount – 1000 HUF / person – if you buy your tickets in advance.

Tickets can be purchased at the Vojtina Puppet Theatre box office from 15th August 2022.
In case of rain, the programs will take place in the Puppet Theatre.

Speaking about the 2022/2023 season, the theatre said that the theatre will present The Hoppláda in September, The Fisherman and His Ambitious Wife in November, The Tale of the Bird’s Nest in February-March 2023, and The Tale of Laszlo the Valiant – A Pig’s Tale in April-May 2023, while five other productions will be staged.

In addition to the production of Animal Friendships, which will be on stage from November, five other productions will be in repertoire, and the theatre will also host a Cradle Theatre, Ovis workshops, ritual plays, theatre education performances, puppet training, workshops, courses, exhibitions and other events throughout the season.
