Once the health emergency has been lifted, the domestic tourism started to rebound. This pattern can be seen in the case of the Great Reformed Church in Debrecen, now visited by nearly 5,000 visitors since the reopening.
The church has developed several novel programs to make the visitor experience even more complete this summer.
Guided tours will be held at the Reformed Great Church every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 1st August. The tours will start at 11 AM and participants will visit the exhibition space, attic space, panoramic sidewalk, and bell towers in addition to the church square. The guided tour is free of charge, with the purchase of a church ticket.
Ordinary opening hours will be extended by one hour and it will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekdays
In recent years, the night visits announced during the Debrecen Flower Carnival week have been a great success.
During the Debrecen Flower Carnival, 17-18th August, the church will welcome visitors, including to see the towers and the panoramic sidewalk, and will be open every day until 9 PM to avoid the busy rush of night visits. Hand sanitizer will be available in the church as well as contactless, online purchase of tickets.
