Early autumn is one of the most ideal seasons for outdoor sports. It is no coincidence that many large-scale running races are held in September, as will be the case in Debrecen in the coming weeks. On September 19th, the XI. Rotary Running Festival, and on September 25th, the 4th Wizz Air Debrecen Airport Run awaits running lovers.
XI. Rotary Running Festival
A XI. Rotary Running Festival is the largest running competition in Debrecen, which is being held for the eleventh time this year. The start times and distances have also changed compared to last year, this year unfortunately the short-distance (1993 m) charity run will be missed and the route has also changed, but this time the competitors will be able to run under the hundred-year-old trees of the Great Forest.
Round 1: 5,274 km
Rajt / Ady Endre út Fog Theater – along Ady Endre út to the Nagyerdei körút intersection – Nagyerdei körút right to the Hadházi út intersection, back on Nagyerdei körút to Ady Endre út intersection, Ady Endre út to the right right on Benczúr Gyula street, right on Hadházi út, along Nagyerdei körút until the Pallagi út intersection (Divinus Hotel), right on Pallagi út to Ady Endre út.
There will be a full-lane road closure on Ady Endre út from Gábor Oláh to Nagyerdei körút, and on Nagyerdei körút from Ady Endre út to Hadházi út, on the other road sections there will be half-lane road closures.

9.00 hours – mini marathon 5,274 km
9.05 hours – 1/4 marathon – 10,548 km
11.00 hours – wheelchair, hand-bike half marathon, marathon
11.02 hours – marathon (individual, 5-person relay) – 42,195 km
11.05 hours – 1/2 marathon – 21,097 km

A XI. On the occasion of the Rotary Running Festival, runners will receive a special, uniquely designed medal at the finish line.
The event can be attended without a security certificate, as there will be no more than 500 people at the event at any one time.

4. Wizz Air Debrecen Airport Run
On September 25th, 2021, the Wizz Air Debrecen Airport Run will be held for the fourth time, organized by Debrecen International Airport Kft. And Debrecen Sportcentrum Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft.
The aim of the running competition is to promote running and a healthy lifestyle among those who want to play sports and to provide opportunities for families to relax in an exclusive environment. The participants of the competition can gain an insight into the life of Debrecen Airport and run where the planes go at other times!
Wizz Air is the main sponsor of the event!
Due to the great interest provided in 2019, running lovers can compete in 5︎ different distances this year!
