The Third Advent Candle Lighting takes place on 12th December in the Memorial Garden of the Reformed Great Church. The event is taking place just a few minutes walk from 100 caterers and Christmas fair vendors in Kossuth Square and the surroundings, (available until December 23rd). Read on for this Sunday’s events programme.
4:00 p.m.: Luca, Luca kitty to kitty to Luca’s day folk traditions
4:20 p.m.: Shepherd nativity play by the fourth class of the Sunflower Waldorf Primary School
4:40 p.m.: Advent melodies to performed by Gergő Dánielfy, Bogi Nagy and Máté Czinke
5:00 p.m.: Third Advent candle lighting
Ákos Balázs, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen, András Beszterczey, Pastor of the Reformed Parish of Debrecen – Great Church, János Kiss, Pastor of the Debrecen Baptist Church.
The Choir of the Debrecen Baptist Congregation will sing between the speeches.
The third candle-lighting will be attended by the messengers of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress (János Laczkfi, András Csókay, Róbert Szikora, Csaba Böjte). Gergő Dánielfy, Bogi Nagy and Máté Czinke
A book launch will also be taking place with a talk organised by DEMKI. András Csókay, Anna Kubik, János Lackfi, Csaba Pindroch and Róbert Szikora.
You can enter the Memorial Garden with an immunity certificate. To check the validity, you will also need to show your ID card.
