Visit Debrecen Zoo + Amusement Park on the autumn break

In addition to the animal feeding, those interested can get acquainted with gibbons and ring-tailed lemurs, but the traditional Halloween party of the amusement park will not be missed either.

“Gibbon Day” will be celebrated worldwide on 24th October. Zoo visitors can enjoy the festive feast of the ZOO white-handed gibbons at 11 AM followed by an introduction about the life of the gibbons by zookeepers. 

The “World Chimpanzee Day” is celebrated on 30th October and Zoo visitors can meet the ring-tailed lemurs at 1 PM. Caregivers will talk about the lifestyles of these charismatic Indigenous animals of Madagascar.

Although the rabbits of the Rabbits’ Town (Nyuszifalva) have moved to their winter accommodation it is good to know that two new dwarf rabbits were born on September 20th  The dwarf rabbit is a variant of the domestic rabbit bred specifically as a hobby animal, of which many breeds and color variations are known. They can be seen by visitors in the next season.

Last but not least, the 60-year-old Amusement Park will also be open on the weekends of October and as well as during the autumn break. 23 rides will be waiting for little ones and adults every day. 

On October 31st, is the night of Halloween, those interested can say goodbye with a creepily exciting program cavalcade to the jubilee year.
