The newest attraction of Nagyerdei park is the Water Tower Adventure Center.
The Water Tower and the surrounding area is more than it seems at first glance. When visited during the day when it is as a quiet café and tourist information point. During the summer food is served all day long from high-quality street vendors from the back of the Tower grounds by the rear entrance.
You will certainly need refreshment after climbing the Water towers 31-m-high ascent to the observation point at the top, which gives fantastic views of the surrounding Nagyerdei park and stadium area.
Afterwards, if you still have the energy and crave some physical exercise, check out the climbing wall, built within the tower’s structure on the first floor.
Downstairs in the tower basement, you can find an exhibition room, typically home to some art exhibition or another, while doubling up as a meeting venue. During the summer an outside bar, seating area, and a big screen are set up, which streams live sports, including the big international football games.
At night time the whole place transforms into a lively, live music venue. Dazzling colorful lights light up the entirety of the external structure of the tower.
