On the third advent Sunday the iconic Reformed Great Church opens its doors in the evening so that we can admire the amazing festive lights of one of Europe’s most charming Christmas markets from the 40-meter-high panorama pavement of the church.
Debrecen’s advent fair is listed among Europe’s top 20 most charming Christmas markets by Travelmag. The historic city center of Debrecen indeed came alive with twinkling lights and festive cheer with the beginning of the advent period. The Christmas market features tiny wooden chalets selling handcrafted gifts and festive trinkets and a 750-square-meter ice skating rink, accompanied by the scent of mulled wine and the hum of Christmas carols.
The church opens at 6 pm and closes at 9 pm on Sunday, December 11.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office for 1000 HUF.
