On Sunday, October 24th, at 7 p.m Budapest Bar will play its unique music for its audience at the Kölcsey Center.
Budapest Bar’s unique style has become a trademark feature of the band, originating in the world of Budapest cafés in the 1920s and 1930s. The well-known couplets, film hits, dance songs, and other popular melodies are reinterpreted on the basis of gypsy music, combined with elements of jazz, pop, rock, swing, klezmer, and many musical genres. As a special musical experience, they perfectly blend different styles, involving even the most excellent Hungarian singers.
The production is completely unique and world-class, they have been giving packed concerts in the most important concert halls and theaters of the country and the world for almost fifteen years.
The theme of their latest album – on which, in addition to old concert favorites, new adaptations, and four new songs written by the singers of the Budapest Bar – is eternal: desire and love.
