The pandemic “forced” the Vojtina Puppet Theater to hold its programs in the online space, however, their traditional season-closing programs held at the beginning of the summer will still be held in real life, outdoors. On June 13th, the puppeteers are will be waiting for families with small children for a season-closing event in the usual place, in the Memorial Garden behind the Reformed Great Church.
The event is entitled “Here Is The End, Begin”. The name of the event expresses the duality that, as a result of the pandemic, the puppet theater can close a shortened season and at the same time open its line of summer games. This time too, there will be clowns, jugglers, stilts, puppeteers, and of course lots and lots of games and music.
It’s over here, start! Season closing day on June 13th, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., awaits families with the following programs.

János Szerencsés, or the three golden hairs of the devil! – fair play performed by Tímea Oláh and Péter Hajdú with the music of Zoltán Arany.

Tickets:
Admission to the event under the age of 1 yr is free, over the age of 1 yr is HUF 1,200 / person, discounted ticket price for families of three or more HUF 1,000 / person, for tickets exchanged at the event. Buy tickets upfront for a discount – 800 HUF / person – between 1st June to 12 June 2021 at the ticket office of the Vojtina Puppet Theater.
In case of rain, the Puppet Theater will host programs for adults with a certificate of protection and the children who come with them! Those who buy a ticket in advance and do not have a security card – they cannot attend the event. In this case – it will be possible to get a refund.
The Vojtina Puppet Theater does not close even after the end of the season, with more exciting programs waiting for those interested throughout the summer.
The Kultúr-FRÖCCS
Within the framework of the Kultúr-FRÖCCS, on June 18th, 19th and 20th, from 4 pm to 6.30 pm, everyone can see the Vojtina Company in Dósa Nádor Square, where the puppets of Debrecen present stories.
Our Pearls ‘Day
This weekend, the Vojtina Puppet Theater’s Pearls’ Day will also feature a performance by János Szerencsés, or the Devil’s Three Golden Hairs, and many games organized by the 30-year-old Leukemia Children’s Foundation this year for sick and healed children.
This cooperation between the two institutions dates back 10 years.
Season Opener
After the July break, the Red Lovers Meeting will be held as a highlighted season-opening event with the intention of creating a tradition. The meeting of domestic and international trade fair puppet heroes simultaneously allows for several types of programs: exhibition, interactive sessions, games, performances.
