In February, the city’s events are almost overlapping, with a zoo bear carnival, a wintery family day and a Szalóki Ági concert for the younger ones, an ABBA show and a Zorán concert for the older ones. According to the Israeli airline, the first flight between Tel Aviv and Debrecen will start on 24 April. The flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, according to the announcement.

In 2025, the World Tour series in 3×3 basketball will be back for its 14th edition, bringing together the world’s best men’s players. On Tuesday, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) officially announced the tournament schedule, which also includes Debrecen, which has become the stronghold of the sport over the past decade. This year, Masters tournaments will be held in the heart of 15 major cities across three continents, bringing the world’s most dynamic street sport to millions of fans, DSI Debrecen said.

In addition to the regular big events such as the Campus Festival or the Debrecen Flower Carnival, there will of course be new events this year too. The Junior Figure Skating and Ice Dancing World Championships will be held on 25 February, 29 March mark the 4th Made in Debrecen Festival, and the 100-member Gypsy Orchestra is also coming on 5 April. But this is just the beginning!
