Mozart, Beethoven, Ravel – Autumn Classics

The venues are as varied as the programme: the Pásti Street Synagogue, the Great Hall of the Kölcsey Centre, and the University of Debrecen’s Assembly Hall will all be the venue for classical music events.

In the new season, the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra will bring us the greatest classics of the repertoire, week after week. Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Ravel… just to name a few of the great composers who will be performing their music throughout the autumn.

The venues are as varied as the programme: the Pásti Street Synagogue, the Great Hall of the Kölcsey Centre, and the University of Debrecen’s Assembly Hall will all be the venue for classical music events.

Science Fair in the City Centre

How much is the power of “nothing” and how can it be lured out? Can a sound wave be made visible? How can a humanoid robot do tricks and how can extreme cold change everyday objects? There will also be a range of exciting games.

This autumn, Agora will move to Csapó Street in the city centre with science fun, games, and a spectacular stage show. The show will re-enact the famous Magdeburg experiment, where they will try to pull apart two perfectly fitting hemispheres held together by neither screws nor glue, including what special phenomena sound can do and whether air can flow. Aibo, the robot dog, and Nao, the humanoid robot, will also be introduced.

Autumn Barango-LÓ at Mátai Stud farm

The next Barango-LO date is Sunday 25th September 2022, between 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Barango-LO is a traditional monthly programme of the Mátai Stud Farm, excellent entertainment for children and adults who are interested in horses and horse riding and want to learn more about the Hortobágy equestrian traditions.

Guided Crane Watching Tours in Hortobágy:

With the onset of autumn, the cranes arrived in the Hortobágy. The most attractive natural event of the season is the crane migration. The crane is the symbol of the Hortobágy National Park and one of our most treasured natural assets. To see the daily movement of tens of thousands of cranes, the Hortobágy National Park Directorate organises various weekend tours from mid-September until the end of October.
