The 9,000-square-metre facility has three multifunctional, accessible theatre spaces: the Zoltán Latinovits Hall can seat 350 people, the Árpád Kóti Hall 150 people, and the Asymmetry Restaurant has also been designed to host theatre productions.

1,200 Hungarian dancers, 400 foreign carnival parade participants and around 500,000 live flowers will be at the Debrecen Flower Carnival, which will take place between 15th and 21st August this year.
1,200 domestic dancers, 400 foreign carnival performers and around 500,000 live flowers will be at the Debrecen Flower Carnival, which is already bringing together nearly 3,000 people. With a 56-year tradition, the carnival is now much more than just a parade of spectacular floral compositions and international artistic ensembles – it is a week-long colourful programme of events where visitors can find the entertainment that appeals to them most. This year it will take place from 15th to 21st August.

A significant part of Hungary’s cultural heritage is preserved in rural museums. The significance of the Hungarian Genius travelling exhibition lies in the fact that it is intended to present the geniuses of the countryside in a representative way.
A significant part of Hungary’s cultural heritage is preserved in rural museums. However, the special pieces in these collections are often more accessible to the local public, as we don’t have to travel hundreds of kilometres to find a single piece of art. The significance of the Hungarian Genius travelling exhibition lies precisely in the fact that it is intended to present the geniuses of the countryside in a representative way. The exhibition embodies the Hungarian idea, the Hungarian feeling, national heroes, and local traditions. The selection includes the most characteristic and significant artifacts of a given village or museum, representing the institution, the village, its history, and culture.
The exhibition was launched in April 2022 in Kecskemét, and will open in Debrecen on 17th August at 3 pm at the Déri Museum, after Gyula.

The week is full of exhibitions, events, and programs, some of which are available all week while others are only available on specific days.

For the 40th Hungarian Press Photo Contest, 245 photographers uploaded 2305 entries, a total of 5810 images, from which a selection of exhibition material will be displayed in the city centre of Debrecen.
